Chicken Organs & Ancient Grains Recipe

Repurpose with purpose.

Sun dapples the farmhouse roof and moves like the reflection of water. Chickens cluck soft greetings. The sensory umami of the natural world reminds you of the dishes your grandmother enjoyed, honoring the nutrient-rich parts of the birds.

Approximately one-third of our world’s food never makes it to a plate. Our mission is to realize the potential of this extremely nutritious excess through innovations in our food chain. We start with chicken organs. Your family’s giblet lovers were onto something, because organs are a healthy and nutrient-dense portion of the chicken. Chicken livers provide iron, zinc and B vitamins, plus amino acids. Chicken hearts are an excellent source of protein and are high in iron and zinc.

These choice organs are combined with wholesome ancient grains including sorghum, teff, quinoa. Then, we add broccoli. The smallest broccoli are typically discarded as they’re not large enough for human products. We repurpose those broccoli pieces as another healthy ingredient in our dog food.
